Growing ThirdLove To Try Out Brick

The brand now services an estimated 87 percent of women. Whether this is through using technologies such as automation and AI to design and manufacture products themselves or to help target and deliver those products to the right customers in the most convenient way possible, technology is now the driving force behind all successful growth strategies in one way or another.
Around the same time, Kira told a consultant at the company, a leadership coach who worked closely with Spector, that she wanted to meet with the executive: Almost verbatim she said ‘Dave is a deeply insecure man, make sure you pat his ego throughout your conversation and that you don't surprise him.

Yet this past April, its parent company, L Brands, was downgraded from "stable" to "negative" by Moody's Investors Service due to "deteriorating operating margins and negative comparable store sales at Victoria's Secret for the past 10 quarters." The downgrade came after a smattering of negative stories about the leading lingerie company and the retailer's apparent reluctance to back away from an oversexualized image.
But in 2013, Heidi Zak along with her husband David Spector (both ex-Google execs) set out on a mission to revolutionize that experience - using technology to improve the product in terms of fit and comfort, as well as how bras are delivered to the customer and how customer loyalty is maintained.

The brand has a test plan” in place to keep track of customer data, by following metrics like whether or not customers in the store had heard of or shopped the brand online, and if they make repeat visits, cart sizes and purchase patterns, the brand's online Fit Finder is available for customers in the store.
We've always approached bra and underwear shopping by browsing sales, asking friends for their favorite brands, buying a nude strapless bra in a bridesmaid-induced panic, and simply snapping up anything cute that caught our eye in a moment of shopping weakness.

Let's exceed their expectations.” Then, in case it wasn't already clear, she spelled it out: ThirdLove is the antithesis of Victoria's Secret.” The entire campaign seemed designed to show how woke, how feminist, how very different ThirdLove was from traditional bra makers — and it worked.
The timing of ThirdLove's first store may also be opportune as Victoria's Secret continues to struggle with falling sales and persistent criticism that it hasn't kept pace with changing consumer demand, including having more diversity in its products and advertising.

One that includes adjustable lighting, digital measuring systems, three different types of dressing rooms and 78 bra sizes to choose from. They knew that in order to keep delivering bras that fit a wide range of body types better than rival brands - many of which had begun imitating ThirdLove by offering bras in half-cup sizes - they needed more customer data.
Beyond the positive feedback, there are also hard numbers that demonstrate a demand for the kind of personalized, fit-conscious approach that Heidi Zak brings to the lingerie market. And ThirdLove's T-shirt bra, through which many women discover the brand, continues to lure customers and introduce them to its other products, such as sleepwear.
